Meet the Heart Behind The Clarity Studio
I’m so glad you’re here!
Deciding to start/continue your mental health journey is a big deal, and I don’t take for granted the fact that you’re considering sharing that space with me.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master’s in Counseling from Clemson University, but more than that? I’m someone who is deeply passionate about helping people find clarity and create real, maintainable change and growth, even when it feels uncomfortable.
My approach: Real recognize real
I don’t believe in “one size fits all.” That’s unrealistic. My work combines trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy with person-centered, evidence-based approaches. So… what does that mean for you? It means…
Unpacking and making sense of your patterns
Learning how to regulate big (and small) emotions
Building a real toolkit that supports long lasting change, not momentary change
This is a space where vulnerability is celebrated (and encouraged!), but never judged.
Credentials, please
Before opening The Clarity Studio, I gained experience across the mental health spectrum. My experience spans community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, college counseling and other private practices. These roles taught me an invaluable lesson: there’s a million different ways people struggle, but there’s also a million different ways we heal. I meet you exactly where you are because that is the key to true healing.
You’re right where you need to be
The Clarity Studio is an affirming, inclusive space. Period. No matter if you’re a woman of color, a member of the LGBTQIA+ community, or anyone who holds a marginalized identity, know this: You deserve to be understood, heard and most of all, safe. You are always safe with me, every single time. Every. Single. Time. And of course, if you don’t hold a marginalized identity, there is safe space for you here.
Take your time exploring. If anything resonates with you or you have specific questions for me, feel free to contact me below.
You may be wondering… “is this the right person for me?”
We’re probably a good fit if:
You wake up tired (whether you actually got to sleep or you tossed and turned all night)
You’re skipping meals or so busy that you’re forgetting to eat
You’re scrolling on TikTok or IG instead of resting (…guilty 🤷🏽♀️)
You cancel plans with your friends because you just don’t have the energy
You feel disconnected from (or maybe a little too connected to) your family
You cannot stop thinking, no matter how hard you try (especially at night)
You’re struggling to get tasks done, whether you’ve begun or never got started
You’re irritated, unmotivated and/or frustrated
You keep pushing yourself despite the fact that you simply don’t have it
You’re eager to feel better, even if you don’t know where to start
…Sound like you?

I offer 100% telehealth sessions so that you can heal from the comfort and safety of your own home. And because I know you’re carrying the weight of the world, I offer high-demand evening and Saturday availability. (So now there’s no excuse, sorry! 😉)
What Sets The Clarity Studio Apart?
-
As a Black woman with a big personality, I understand the deep complexities of navigating within a world that wants you to shrink. My own lived experiences have been integral in the woman I have become today, and informs the empathy, insight and unwavering support I bring into the therapy room every single time.
-
We are so much more a single label, race, gender or sexuality. Yet, we live in a world where these things matter. No matter what, I value each part of you because I understand the effects of being reduced one chapter instead of the entire book.
-
True growth requires being real with yourself. Sometimes, we need a mirror held up to our faces to clearly see what needs to change. I’m here to help you look into that mirror without a single piece of guilt or shame, so you can make the shifts necessary to become the person you want to be.
-
I’m a human first, and a therapist second. Empathy, consideration and genuine connection are the fundamental values that guide how I show up for you. When you’re in a session with me, you can fully expect to feel safe, seen, heard, and entirely free to drop the guard shielding you from healing.
