Meet the Heart Behind The Clarity Studio
I truly appreciate you considering me to be a part of your mental health journey! I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A) with a Master’s in Counseling from Clemson University, and I’m passionate about supporting individuals who are ready for clarity, change, and growth, even when it feels uncomfortable.
With training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and a blend of additional evidence-based, person-centered approaches, I focus on helping you gain clarity about your patterns, regulate emotions and build a toolkit that supports long lasting change. This is a space where vulnerability is encouraged, not judged.
My experience spans community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, college-level counseling, and private practice. These roles have given me a well-rounded understanding of the many ways people struggle and heal, allowing me to meet you where you are with respect and compassion. I hope that brings you a sense of comfort and trust as we navigate this work together.
The Clarity Studio is an affirming, inclusive space for women of all identities, including women of color, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and anyone who holds a marginalized identity. No matter who you are, you deserve to be understood and heard. Know that you are safe here.
Take your time exploring. If anything resonates with you or you have specific questions for me, feel free to contact me below.
You may be wondering… “is this the right person for me?”
We’re probably a good fit if:
You wake up tired (whether you actually got to sleep or you tossed and turned all night)
You’re skipping meals or so busy that you’re forgetting to eat
You’re scrolling on TikTok or IG instead of resting (…guilty 🤷🏽♀️)
You cancel plans with your friends because you just don’t have the energy
You feel disconnected from (or maybe a little too connected to) your family
You cannot stop thinking, no matter how hard you try (especially at night)
You’re struggling to get tasks done, whether you’ve begun or never got started
You’re irritated, unmotivated and/or frustrated
You keep pushing yourself despite the fact that you simply don’t have it
You’re eager to feel better, even if you don’t know where to start
…Sound like you?

What Sets The Clarity Studio Apart?
-
As a black woman with a big personality, I understand the complexities navigating life through a marginalized identity. My lived experience has been so substantial in the woman I have become today, and it informs the empathy, insight and support I bring into the therapy room.
-
We are so much more than one identity; more than a race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, socioeconomic status. Still, your identities matter. I value each part of you because I understand the effects of being reduced to just one.
-
Sometimes, we need someone to tell us things that may be difficult to hear, but crucial for our decision making or understanding. I’ll help you consider alternative perspectives without judging you.
-
I am a human first, so empathy, consideration and genuine connection are fundamental values that guide every client interaction. You should expect to feel safe and free from judgment with me.

If your calendar looks anything like mine, you probably need counseling options that fit your life. I offer convenient scheduling, with morning, evening and Saturday availability.
